i really don't know what is wrong with my father's logic. he took the computer in to get "fixed". the motherboard was completely annihilated, but the geeks in charge found a used computer that they installed the old hard drive into. now i have some epic super computer with two hard drives and is incapable of functioning properly with a mouse.

now, i love the fact that i now own a computer with a gillion gigs of ram, and is utterly silent (the older one roared like a beast and chirped and chirred like some hyperactive squirrel). maybe i'll call it the phantom, since it's this solid black box without a single light on it. it gives me the creeps.

i understand that my father wanted to help, but he inherited his father's gene of fixing everything at the cheapest price possible. i.e. the windows 98 laptop that couldn't even calculate 3+9. it answered 39. bitch please.


oh and star trek, utterly blew my mind. i can't think of any movie that could ever combine all the genres of film in a better fashion. kudos to the one and only j.j. i'm no trekie, but i may have just been converted.
